This is a KRW cross-rate derived from the ECB's euro reference rates. Banknote and transfer rates include their own timing, fees and spreads. Weekends and holidays may show the previous business day's value.

METAL MARKET GUIDE

Where should each metal price be checked?

Liquidity and publication methods differ by metal. This guide avoids presenting every metal as if it had the same continuous global spot price.

This site does not use a metal-price API that requires payment, an API key or individual approval. We have not identified a public source that meets those conditions while reliably covering all eight metals, so this section provides market structure and verification guidance without publishing price figures.

The metal tiles above also jump to this guide.

READING THE DATA

Three distinctions that matter

Reference rate vs customer rate

This site's FX rate is derived from central-bank reference data. Cash and transfer rates at a bank have different timing, fees and bid/ask spreads.

Benchmark vs supplier base price

A benchmark follows a defined process. A supplier base price is a commercial reference used by that supplier. Similar-looking numbers do not necessarily have the same status.

Limits of KRW-per-gram conversion

Converting USD per troy ounce into KRW per gram is a mathematical comparison. It does not add purity, product form, tax, logistics or dealer margin.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tick-by-tick live FX rates?
No. The site retrieves ECB business-day reference rates through Frankfurter and derives KRW cross-rates. They are designed for comparison and trend analysis, not trade execution.
Why does “next update” refer to the next business-day release?
Central-bank reference rates are published on a business-day schedule rather than continuously. This wording accounts for weekends, holidays and occasional publication delays.
Why are rhodium, iridium, ruthenium and osmium not labelled global benchmarks?
Trading and publication are more limited than for gold or silver. Supplier base prices are used for some of these metals, while osmium varies substantially by product form and specialist dealer.
Why are current metal prices and charts not displayed?
We have not found a public API that needs no payment or account approval, clearly permits commercial use, and provides verifiable units and sources for all eight metals. Clear market guidance is safer than an unofficial feed with ambiguous terms or invented figures.
